The Central Bank of Egypt is the central bank of the country founded in the year 1961. Since then the bank has been operating as an independent body in the country.

Important functions of the Central bank of Egypt are as follows:

  • Maintenance of price stability
  • Supervising banking activities
  • Management of Foreign Exchange Reserves
