Adia was founded in 1957 in Lausanne, Switzerland. Ecco was founded in Lyon, France in 1964. In 1996, Adia and Ecco merged to form Adecco, a strong global leader in recruitment and personnel services.

In 2000, Adecco acquired Olsten Staffing and became number one recruitment company in the US. Adecco thought ahead and entered the web world post 2000. Today, Adecco has committed to expand to six professional business lines which will all provide service under one name.
