In 1989 the Banking Law in Taiwan was revised to make way for private banking and one of the first private banks to take advantage of this new development was Banc SinoPac. The primary founders of the bank included Central Investment Company, Ruentex Industries, Southeast Soda Manufacturing Company, Formosa Oilseed Manufacturing Company and entrepreneurs like Mr. Paul Lo.

Today Banc SinoPac has grown to become one of the largest banks of Taiwan.
