History

BCE was founded in April 29, 1880 as Bell Telephone Company of Canada. On March 7, 1968, use of corporate name Bell Canada was authorized. On April 28, 1983, Bell Canada Enterprises Inc.
(BCE) became the parent company of Bell Canada. The company continues its leadership in the communications industry even in the 21st century.
