The Carrefour company was created in 1959. In 1963, Carrefour invented a new store concept: The Hypermarket. The company opened hypermarkets in different countries throughout its history. - In 2006, Carrefour Spain acquired 4 hypermarkets and 2 petrol stations from Caprabo.
