History
China First Automotive Works was formed on July 15, 1953. From 1956 until the end of 1978 was a critical growth and development period for FAW. Model changes and revisions took place in the period 1979 to 1987. From 1988 to 2001, China First Automotive Works developed a maturing strategy and a renewed focus on enlarging the company's automotive offerings. The Company is now known as the FAW Group Corporation. After fifty years of development and refinement, FAW now produces hundreds of models of light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks for every vocation.

The mission of China First Automotive Works is to become an auto-industry group with a capacity of one million units and competent in the international market. Their dream is "let every Chinese family own a car". They have a core value of "first automobile, first partner" and a management concept of "custom first".
