History

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) was formed in 1988 by the Petroleum Industry Ministry of China. CNPC served as the State oil company. The company expanded its operations by setting up new gasfields and subsidiary units. Today, it is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies.
