History

The history of ConAgra foods go back to 1861 when its first brand was created. In 1919, Nebraska Consolidated Mills was incorporated. ConAgra was formed in 1971, when Nebraska Consolidated Mills changed its name to ConAgra, Inc. in 1973, ConAgra common stock was listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
The company grew by introducing new brands of food items and also by acquiring other companies. ConAgra, Inc. became ConAgra Foods, Inc. in 2000. Today, ConAgra Foods is one of North America's largest food companies.
