History

Costco Wholesale is a membership warehouse club chain.

Costco Wholesale opened its first warehouse in Seattle, Washington on September 15, 1983. In 1993, Costco merged with Price Club. The combined company, PriceCostco, was effectively double the size of each of its parents. The company name changed to Costco Wholesale in 1997.
