Countrywide is a diversified financial services company. The company was founded in 1969. The umbrella organization, Countrywide Credit Industries, was founded on March 14th, 1969. Countrywide made an early entry into technology in the late 1970s. In the 1980s, the company passed major milestones and also began diversification within the mortgage industry. Today, Countrywide Financial Corporation has transformed into a leading provider of consumer and business-to-business financial services in domestic and international markets.
