- On December 18th, 2006, Dow Chemical Company and Bayer Group announced the agreement for Dow to acquire Bayer's Wolff Walsrode business group. The transaction is expected to be completed by the first half of 2007.
- On February 6th, 2001, Union Carbide Corporation ("Union Carbide") completed a merger with a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company. As a result, Union Carbide became a wholly owned subsidiary of Dow.
