History
E.ON was formed as a result of the merger between the VEBA and VIAG companies in June 2000. VEBA and VIAG were founded in the 1920s and they were two of Germany’s largest industrial groups. E.ON began a corporate integration process in 2003, which aimed at establishing an increasingly uniform company image. Today, E.ON has become an international name with a high level of brand recognition.
