History
EnCana Corporation is one of the worlds largest independently owned oil and gas companies. The company formed in 2002 with the merger of PanCanadian Energy and Alberta Energy.It was Canada's most profitable company in both 2003 and 2004. In 2006, EnCana unveiled their plans to build new headquarters, the Bow Building in downtown Calgary.
This building would become Canada's second largest office building at completion. At present, EnCana is a leading North American natural gas producer.
