History
EnCana Corporation is one of the world’s largest independently owned oil and gas companies. The company was formed in 2002 with the merger of PanCanadian Energy and Alberta Energy.It was Canada's most profitable company in both 2003 and 2004. In 2006, EnCana unveiled the project of their new headquarters, the Bow Building in downtown Calgary. This building would become Canada's second largest office building after completion. At present, EnCana is a leading North American natural gas producer.
