History
The Hanwha Group was founded under the name Korea Explosives Corporation in 1952. Preparation for a second establishment began in the 1970s and the 1980s was the period of second establishment.

Hanwha looked forward to establish a better company image in the 1990s. The Group name was changed from Korea Explosives to Hanwha in October 1992. In the 2000s, Hanwha is aiming to be internationally competitive.
