History
The Hanwha Group was founded under the name Korea Explosives Corporation in 1952. Preparation for a second establishment began in the 1970s and was carried out in the 1980s. Hanwha concentrated on creating a better company image in the 1990s. The Group name was changed from Korea Explosives to Hanwha in October 1992.
