History The history of HCA Corporation (Hospital Corporation of America) goes back to the 1960s, when Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr. led an effort by a group of physicians to build Park View Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Hospital Corporation of America was formed in 1968 as a hospital management company by Dr. Frist, Jack C. Massey and Dr. Thomas Frist, Jr. The company expanded rapidly, building new hospitals and assembling them under a group. Today HCA is USA's leading provider of healthcare services.
