Incorporated as a private company in 1922, J. Sainsbury was originally founded as a single shop in 1869 by John James Sainsbury in Holborn, London. Sainsbury's was the first to launch supermarkets with a large non-food range in the UK under the name of “Sainsbury's SavaCentre" in 1975.Activities:
