History:
The KBC Group was established in 1998, in Belgium, with the merger of three Belgian Companies- The CERA Bank, The Kredietbank and ABB-Insurance.Formally named the KBC Bank and Insurance Holding Company, the company rapidly made a place for itself in the European Financial market. A major provider of banking and insurance services, with operations in Eastern and Central Europe, the company was renamed as KBC Group NV when it merged with its parent company, Almanij.
