The Lyondell Chemical Company was formed in 1985 as a spin off from the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO). The company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1989 and is presently the third largest chemical manufacturer in the entire United States. The company is operational in five continents across the globe and is the market leader in Propylene oxide production in the world.
