Motorola Inc was established in September 1928 by brothers Paul and Joseph Galvin in Chicago. Motorola pioneered mobile communications in the 1930s when it made the car radio and public safety network. Motorola’s pioneering work continued with the commercialization of the first hand held cell phone in 1983. In 1990 Motorola made the first all digital high definition TV. Today Motorola has grown to become a global company with its products being sold all over the world and branches and units across numerous countries in all the continents.
