Nippon Oil Corporation is the largest oil producing company in Japan. The company was established in 1888 and as of March, 2006, Nippon Oil had a Paid-in Capital of 139,437 million Yen. Nippon Oil runs seven refineries with a combined capacity of more than 1.2 million barrels every day. The company controls over one fourth of the Japanese gasoline market and runs around 11,000 service stations across Japan.
