Nordea Bank was incorporated in 1820. It has changed its name many times over its history of 186 years and it celebrated its 5th anniversary in the year 2006 as Nordea Bank. It is based in Sweden. Nordea Bank originated from four Nordic Banks: Merita Bank from Finland, Nordbanken from Sweden, Unibank from Denmark, and Christiania Bank of KreditKasse from Norway respectively.
