United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) was started jointly by the six shareholding states of the Arabian Gulf which are – Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia Qatar and U.A.E. and its headquarter is situated in the state of Kuwait. The authorized capital of the UASC is US$ 1770 million. UASC primarily serves the shipping needs of the Arabian Gulf region and also takes the responsibility to link the Middle East to the entire world. Being one of the largest ocean carriers of dry cargo in the Arabian Gulf, the UASC is now expanding its shipping trade to the other parts of the world too. The Arabian Sea, Red Sea and Indian Sub Continent regions are the areas that come under the service of the UASC providing service to its clients for many years. Whether in terms of the port coverage or liner cargo carryings counting, United Arab Shipping Company continues to lead the shipping market in the Arabian Gulf region.
