France Economy

France is an European nation that is located to the east of the English Channel, and lies to the north of Spain. Famous for its tourism industry which attracts millions of tourists from all over the world, France featured on the top of the tourist destinations of the world in the year 2006.

The Economy of France is now undergoing extensive changes with the Government of France giving up its legal as well as financial control over large Government corporations such as Air France, Renault, and France Telecom to name a few. The Government of France has in this way hastened the privatization process of financial organizations such as banks, and issuers of insurance policies. The result is that France economy has become dependent on the mechanisms of the market.

However, the Government of France has taken sufficient care to ensure that a parity is maintained in the French society, in spite of the capitalist policies adopted by it. The imposition of taxes, formation of active laws, and policies involving spending aimed at social causes that the French Government has enforced, are in fact different procedures adopted to repress the economic inequality effected by glaring differences in incomes and the free markets.
