Mongolia Import

Mongolia became a member of the WTO or World Trade Organization on January, 29th, 1997. This membership opened new vistas for Mongolian trade. It led to enhanced execution of many economic policies and open trade. Mongolia import forms an integral part of the economy of Mongolia.
Mongolia import commodities:
In the year 2005, Mongolia import worth USD$1.184 billion was registered. Mongolia import comprises the commodities, which include food products, cars, chemicals, equipments as well as machinery for various purposes, fuel, materials needed for construction of buildings, tea, sugar, consumer goods from various industries.

In 2007, January, Mongolia import was worth USD$5.6 million.

In 2007, February, Mongolian import equaled USD$ 8.4 million.

USD$ 5.4 was registered in 2007 April.

In 2007, May, Mongolia import value was worth USD$3.9 million.

June 2007 and July 2007, registered USD$7.2 million and USD$7.1 million respectively.

Mongolia imposes certain prohibitions with regard to the import of certain commodities.

These commodities are not allowed to be imported by Mongolia. They are:

Drugs, Prescription,Chemicals, Checks Payroll,Bearer Documents,Bio Products, Non-Haz,
Flammables, Infectious Substance,,Liquor, Non-HazPaints, Haz, Poisons, Swatches,Vegetables, Radioactives, Acids, Corrosives, Gases, Magnetized Materials, Vegetable Saps and several other items.
