Uzbekistan Currency

Uzbekistan currency is a form of money and the medium of exchange for goods and services in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan currency is Uzbek Sum and is the official currency of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan currency is abbreviated as UZS.

Currency of Uzbekistan

The official currency of Uzbekistan is Uzbek Sum (UZS), which is divided into 100 tiyn. Uzbek Sum notes are available in denominations of Sum1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 25, 10, 5, 3 and 1. Coins are available in denominations of 50, 20, 10, 5, 3 and 1 tiyn.

Currency exchange

In Uzbekistan, currencies can be exchanged at banks and exchange bureaux in leading hotels. US Dollars are most acceptable in Uzbekistan. People in Uzbekistan, who will exchange currencies in black market will be penalized.
