About Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh
The Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh was incorporated in the year 1969. It ranks as one of the most widely acclaimed estate planning councils in the United States. The council is governed by its members and it functions in the form of a tax exempted, Internal Revenue Code section 501C (6), entity.
The council is supervised by an autonomous Board of Directors, which is elected by the members of the council. The directors are appointed for a term of three years. The professionals working under the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh include the following
- Attorneys at Law (The Allegheny County Bar Association members)
- Chartered Life Underwriters
- Trust company and bank representatives (directly under the employment of the Trust Department)
- Chartered Financial Consultants
- Certified Financial Planners
- Registry of Financial Planners members
The Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh also offers a forum where the contemporary matters related to estate planning are discussed and the members have the advantage to keep themselves updated about the different events taking place in the estate planning sector.
The council organizes four business meetings every year – one dinner meeting and three technical dejeuners. The venue of every meeting is the Duquesne Club located in the business district of Pittsburgh. Currently, the President of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh is David G. Bluemling, CPA.
