Stockholm School of Economics

Stockholm School of Economics is located in Stockholm, Sweden. This private institute and business school was established in the year 1909. This institute receives its finance from small amounts of government grants and in a major way, a private trust.
The business school was established with the aim of developing business education in the country. The research programs of Stockholm School of Economics or SSE as it is shortly known as, are rated very highly worldwide. The SSE Bachelor's Program runs for a period of three years.

On completion of this course, an SSE Bachelor of Science, Business and Economics degree. A mandatory course has to be undertaken for the first two years and in the final year, the students have to choose two from five specializations.

SSE Master's Program is a two years course. In this course, students can specialize in economics, finance, accounting, management, marketing and others. In the second year of this program, students can take part in Student Exchange Program and can also apply for the CEMS program.
Around two hundred students are currently participating in the SSE PhD program. Four years are needed to attain a doctorate degree. PhD programs are offered in business administration, finance and economics. The two different PhD programs are Economics, Econometrics and Finance and Business Administration. The MBA programs of SSE have produced high quality business managers and leaders. The full-time MBA program of this institute runs for a period of one year. The Executive MBA program of Stockholm School of Economics are modeled to suit the requirements of working executives. Two other MBA programs are the Executive MBA in Saint Petersburg and the Executive MBA in Riga. The research facilities of Stockholm School of Economics are of the top order. SSE boasts of about three hundred active researchers.
