CIGNA dental health insurance plans are segmented laterally for individuals, groups, trusts and the government:
CIGNA Dental Care DHMO
A visit to the dentist can become convenient and cost effective with CIGNA Dental Care DHMO as there are no deductibles, annual dollar maximums, claim forms to file or any waiting period for the cover to come into play. The policy holder can choose a dentist from CIGNA's nationwide network.
CIGNA Dental PPO
The CIGNA Dental PPO allows the policyholder to visit any licensed dentist within or outside CIGNA's Preferred Provider network.
CIGNA Dental EPO
CIGNA Dental EPO allows the policyholder to visit any licensed dentist within CIGNA's Preferred Provider network with exemptions from referrals for specialty care. In real terms this plan provides coverage for most preventive services at either no or very low cost.
CIGNA Traditional
CIGNA Traditional the policy holder and his covered family members to visit any licensed dentist or specialist for treatment. CIGNA will reimburse all or part of the costs for covered procedures up to the plan's annual dollar maximum after the policy holder has paid for his deductible and satisfied any waiting period.
CIGNA Flex Advantage
If offered by an employer CIGNA Flex Advantage is a plan feature that allows the policyholder to switch between CIGNA dental plans on a monthly basis. The plans are CIGNA Dental Care DHMO, CIGNA Dental PPO and CIGNA Traditional.
CIGNA Plus Savings
The CIGNA Plus Savings program provides access to discounts on dental services through a nationwide network of thousands of participating dentists. This plan offers a cost-effective, easy-to-use option that helps the policyholder to save on some of the most commonly performed dental services, including x-rays, cleanings and crowns.
