Natixis, which is the fourth biggest among the listed banks of France, has reported a fourth quarter loss of nine hundred million Euros.
Only a year ago, Natixis had reported a fourth quarter profit of 364 million Euros. This has been caused, in part, by the sub-prime mortgage market failure in the United States of America.
There have been other banks in France that have been affected by this financial crisis as well.
