International Primary Market Association (IPMA) monitors primary market activities around the world. In 2005, the International Securities Market Association merged with the IPMA and formed the International Capital Market Association. The main goal of IPMA is to establish a sound capital market in Europe. The International Primary Market Association (IPMA) represents lead managers of equity and debt securities in the global market of capital. Many large European banks and financial institutions are members of IPMA. Main objectives of IPMA:
to develop an efficient capital market in Europe.
to provide protection to investors of the capital market.
The International Primary Market Association monitors the activities in the global primary market. In 2005, the International Primary Market Association merged with the International Securities Market Association and formed the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), which develops the regulatory framework for financial activities in Europe.
The ICMA has over 400 members in almost 50 countries across the globe.
