Frankfurt Stock Exchange

History and Origin of Frankfurt Stock Exchange

In the 9th century Frankfurt Stock Exchange was founded with a free letter from the Emperor Louis the German organizing complimentary trade fairs. During the 16th century trade and financial services became the basis of Frankfurt’s rich economy.

In 1585 a bourse was formed to build stable currency exchange rates and Frankfurt Stock Exchange became one of the major stock exchange subsequently London and Paris.Mayer Amschel Rothschild Bank and Max Warburg Bank had considerable control in the financial trade of Frankfurt.

In 1949, after the World War 2, Frankfurt Stock Exchange recognized as the most important stock exchange in Germany. In 1990 Frankfurt Stock Exchange was bourse for the Neuer Market(German for New Market) as component of the boom of world wide dot-com.

In 1993 Deutsche Borse AG controlling businesses for the Frankfurt Stock Exchange which became known as Deutsche Borse AG.

After 2002, with the initiation of the Euro, Frankfurt Stock Exchange earnings from the presence of the European Central Bank (which situated in Frankfurt am Mian) instead of Bundesbank.In 2002 and 2004, Deutsche Borse’s progressive discussions to conquest London Stock Exchange failed two times.
