Two of the many sources of revenue for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association that are being used in order to bring down the amount of taxes imposed on the school properties are the gaming monies of the state itself, as well as, the rise in the income taxes that are exercised locally.

The aged citizens of Pennsylvania are also eligible to receive the benefit of reduction in taxes that are imposed on residential properties or farmhouses. However, in order to receive the benefit the aspirant needs to furnish an application to the office of the county assessor.

The Pennsylvania School Boards Association has increased the supposed minimum level of taxation to $35,000 from $15,000. This financial help was being provided under the Senior Citizen Property Tax and Rent Rebate Assistance program. However, this benefit is limited to homeowners.
