The aged citizens of Pennsylvania are also eligible to receive the benefit of reduction in taxes that are imposed on residential properties or farmhouses. However, in order to receive the benefit the aspirant needs to furnish an application to the office of the county assessor.
The Pennsylvania School Boards Association has increased the supposed minimum level of taxation to $35,000 from $15,000. This financial help was being provided under the Senior Citizen Property Tax and Rent Rebate Assistance program. However, this benefit is limited to homeowners.
The General Assembly has increased the amount of property tax rebates being provided by them. The aged people who own a home are liable to receive tax benefits ranging from $250 to $650.
