Trading card value is determined by grades. This grading is done by GAI or Global Authentication. There are several grades available. First one can consider Mint (MT). Here, the four corners of the trading card should be perfectly shaped. The positioning of the image is also of prime importance. For getting a good value this positioning needs to be perfect.

In the Near Mint (NM) category, it is admissible if only one corner of the trading card is a little less than perfect.

The card should retain its glossiness. The image on the trading card should be near to perfection.Next is the Excellent Mint (EX-MT) category. These cards bear at max three imperfections. Trading cards can also belong to the Excellent category. Here, the imperfections in the card are few and almost negligible.
